Overview & Rules

  1. Quiet! Please be considerate of others studying around you.
  2. Groups should gather in group study rooms.
  3. Cell phone conversations are permitted on the first floor. Please be considerate and speak quietly.
  4. UNF students, faculty and staff have priority use over library services and equipment.
  5. During high demand periods, non-affiliated users must defer access to UNF students, faculty, and staff.
  6. Children must be continuously supervised by a responsible adult.
  7. Non-UNF students under 18 years of age must be supervised by an adult, or must be referred in writing by their school principal or teacher, and register with Access Services upon arrival.
  8. Computer laws and copyright/license restrictions must be honored.
  9. Library fines and charges apply to ALL borrowers.
  10. No tobacco products allowed anywhere.
  11. Drinks in covered containers are permitted.
  12. No pets except trained animals working for a disabled user.
  13. Please do not reshelve books. Place them on the black shelves at the end of most shelving sections.
  14. The Library assumes no responsibility for personal property. Watch your belongings.
  15. Theft, emergencies, and disruptive behavior are referred to the University Police for action.
  16. Surveillance cameras are in use.
  17. Skateboards, scooters and electric scooters, some bicycles and electric bicycles, and other similar items are allowed in the library as long as they can be carried by their owner and stowed out of the way when the owner is using the library space. These types of transportation and other similar items are not allowed to be ridden in the library under any circumstances. Exceptions are made for mobility devices such as walkers.
