Welcome! Your library is here for you:
- We are UNF's Thomas G. Carpenter Library, but you can call us Tommy G's for short
- The library is named for the University's founding president, Thomas G. Carpenter
- The original library first opened in 1972 with 100,000 volumes
- Our collection now includes 800,000 physical items as well as nearly 300 research databases with access to millions of journal articles, e-books, streaming media, and more
- The current building opened in 1980; it was renovated in 2005 and again in 2015
- We are located in Building 12, which is bordered by the Green, a lake, and parking lot 2
- Inside you'll find four floors with lots of study space, quiet nooks, and over 300 computer workstations including PCs and Macs
- Not on campus? We are still here to help, with virtual resources and services including online research assistance, chat, email, and text
