Introduction

UNF Library's audiovisual (AV) equipment is made possible due to a generous grant awarded by the Northeast Florida Library Information Network (NEFLIN) as part of the 2020 NEFLIN Innovation Project awards.

Equipment Guidelines

  • Borrowing is limited to UNF faculty, staff, and students.
  • Same day checkout will not be available. Requests must be placed and confirmed by library staff. Items requested Monday-Friday before 4 PM will be available for pickup the following business day, if available.
  • Patron must inspect and accept the equipment.
  • The loan period for A/V equipment is 14 days and items are not renewable, holds are not permitted.
  • Items will be returned after being thoroughly checked by a staff member.
  • If the equipment is overdue a replacement cost of the items will be charged to the patron library account after being 24 hours overdue and a block will be placed on the patron account until items are returned.
  • If the equipment is returned damaged the patron may be charged the replacement cost of the items at the discretion of the Access Services.
  • Headphones can only be checked out with other A/V equipment. Monitoring headphones are not for general use.
  • All SD cards will be cleared prior to circulating again. Once a memory card has been returned we will not provide it to anyone prior to it being cleared. 
  • Users are highly encouraged to review additional equipment information and instructions for the cameras and audio equipment.
  • Any A/V equipment returned will be renewed so that it can be cleaned and inspected and then it would be checked in off of your account.  Any equipment returned on Friday or Saturday will be processed at the earliest on Sunday but you will not incur any fines for those two days if the equipment was returned.
