Graduate Study Rooms

The Library Graduate Study Room application for Academic Year 2022/2023 is now OPEN - Applications will be accepted online between 8:00 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2022, to 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2022.  

Important Requirements:

  • Applicant must be a graduate student currently enrolled at UNF. Only completed applications will be accepted. 
  • We have 36 graduate study rooms with an average of 100 applications each year.  We ask that you be mindful in submitting your application if you are interning in a city other than Jacksonville. 
  • Only UNF email accounts will be used to contact room recipients.
  • Upon notification of acceptance, you will have one (1) week to pick up your key, or the room will be reassigned. Keys will be distributed the week of September 12-16, 2022 at the library. You will be required to have your Osprey 1Card. 

Graduate Study Room Assignment Criteria:

  • The order of priority will be as follows: Doctoral students, Thesis-writing graduate students, Graduate students.  (Graduate Study Rooms will not be awarded to undergraduates.)

Graduate Study Room Use Policy:

Graduate Student Borrowing Privileges

  • Books from the general collection can be checked out for 120 days. (Renewals are allowed 21 days before due date.)
  • CDs can be checked out for 3 weeks.
  • DVDs can be checked out for 7 days.
  • UNF graduate students can borrow a maximum of 250 items.

It contains a significant amount of new international dissertations and theses both in citations and in full text.
