This online display includes free and library resources (eBooks, DVDs, streaming videos, and links) related to National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15). Hispanic Heritage Month recognizes the history, culture, and contribution of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Why celebrate this time of year? September 15 marks the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Additionally, Mexico celebrates its Independence Day on September 16 and Chile celebrates theirs on September 18. ¡Felicidades!
