Although the course is recommended to freshmen, students at all levels are welcome and encouraged to enroll. Research can be very stressful. It can be doubly so for those who are unfamiliar with libraries and research systems. This course can relieve and eliminate much of the stress usually associate with college courses and research. Having good research skills will help you become an efficient reseracher who is able to quickly.
Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
- Describe the organization of a university library and the tools available at UNF
- Identify and describe types of resources and the elements of a citatio
- demonstrate the ability to use major reserach tools
- locate resources in a university library
- identify appropriate research materials for a given topic
- Evaluate and analyze sources, including websites.
