Library Instruction For Transfer Success (LIFTS)

A guide to Library Instruction support services for transfer students

What kind of help is available?

Transfer students can get help through many ways:

  • Request the services of a Librarian through a General Research consultation.   A research consultation gets you one on one with a Librarian from the Instruction Unit of the Library who might help you with your research needs and how to navigate the Library resources.
  • Contact a member of the LIFTS Squad. The LIFTS Squad is a group of Instruction Librarians who are willing and ready to offer any assistance to find the resources and help you need.
  • Go to the Perdue Study Area in the Library for Tutoring.  You may find the tutoring Schedule on the Tutoring Libguide.
  • Look for Pop Up Library Instruction  around the around the Library and on Campus. Librarians will set up  tables with computers ready to help you with your Library Research needs.  Pop Up Library Instruction will be advertised.
  • Take  LIS 1001 Beginning Library and Information Strategies
