Next Generation Integrated Library System: Alma and Primo VE

The Thomas G. Carpenter Library is a member library of the Florida Academic Library Services Cooperative (FALSC). On March 12, 2020, a multi-year contract was completed with Ex Libris for the implementation of the Alma and Primo library products. This next-generation integrated library system (ILS) leverages cloud-based services and offers a responsive, scalable web and mobile design. This upgrade will expand access to materials and improve the user experience for students, faculty, and staff. This upgrade will also improve library staff's ability to find, track, and share material, to process requests for new acquisitions, and to analyze usage.

The new library system will be implemented for all Florida public colleges and universities on July 13, 2021.

The new Primo VE discovery service will allow better access and management of the Library's print, electronic, and digital collections as well as improved discovery of items across all Florida institutions.  Primo VE will change how OneSearch looks and functions.
