UpToDate

This guide will discuss the UpToDate database and how UNF students and faculty may utilize it.

Recommendation by UpToDate

UptoDate recommends that you cite the UpToDate topic as a chapter in a book titled UpToDate. There are no page numbers to cite, and the publication year for any topic should be the current year.

The example below is provided by UpToDate:

How to cite an UpToDate® topic:

Marion, DW. Diaphragmatic pacing. In: UpToDate, Post TW (Ed), UpToDate, Waltham, MA. (Accessed on November 25, 2013.)

UpToDate and RefWorks

RefWorks is partially compatible with UpToDate. You will have to manually enter in citation data (see image below).
