Educational content that are targeted at supporting education, research and related scholarly activities. Proceeds from the Consortium membership dues currently go The Connexions Consortium is a group of organizations and individuals, including the world's foremost leaders in education, who work together to direct the future development of Connexions and the open education movement. The Connexions Consortium is dedicated to the design and development of collaborative, open toward administrative costs and overhead for the project. Members in the consortium decide on general directions of future development of Connexions.

GALILEO Open Learning Materials brings together open educational resources throughout the University System of Georgia, including open textbooks and ancillary materials.

Lumen Learning - is a consultant organization that help academics create open courseware. Tidewater Community College's courses can be found at Lumen Learning.

Multimedia Educational Resources for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) is a project of California State University and offers peer reviewed online teaching and learning materials.

Openly Available Sources Integrated Search (OASIS) is a search tool that aims to make the discovery of open content easier. OASIS currently searches open content from 80 different sources and contains 331,461 records.

Today, OpenStax CNX is a dynamic non-profit digital ecosystem serving millions of users per month in the delivery of educational content to improve learning outcomes. There are tens of thousands of learning objects, called pages, that are organized into thousands of textbook-style books in a host of disciplines, all easily accessible online and downloadable to almost any device, anywhere, anytime.

Since 2008, the Foundation’s free education initiative has focused on exploring the promise of the Internet to drive the cost of educational resources down, and expand access to quality open educational resources (OER).

The Teaching Commons showcases high-quality open educational resources from leading colleges and universities and makes them available to educators and students around the world. Curated by librarians and their institutions and hosted by bepress, the Teaching Commons includes open-access textbooks, course materials, lesson plans, multimedia, lectures, k-12 materials, and more.

This is a community for the creation and use of free learning materials and activities. Wikiversity is a multidimensional social organization dedicated to learning, teaching, research and service. Available in Dutch, French, Spanish, and English.
