LIS1001: Resource Types

Other Sources

Not all resources can be easily categorized into scholarly or popular.  Some resources can be both depending on the context of your research, the authority of the author, or requirements from your professor.  For these resources, it is especially critical to evaluate using a variety of criteria.

Some examples include:

  • books
  • websites
  • government documents
  • media (movies, documentaries, songs)
