The Thomas G. Carpenter Library is here assist faculty and students through every step of your research. Take advantage of the following services and know that your librarians and library staff are here for you when you need additional support!
The Chat Online function is available through the UNF Library homepage. Use this option when you have a quick and straightforward question (i.e., finding full text availability for an article). A global cooperative of librarians run this service and they can provide you with resources for getting started in real time. The library chat is available 24/7/365. Inquiries that require UNF significant research support or that specific to UNF will be forwarded UNF librarians for follow-up.
For extensive help, please schedule a 30-minute to 60-minute online consultation with your librarians! Students can book individually and/or in groups. Additionally, librarians welcome faculty and staff to book research consultations for any research and/or teaching needs. These can be booked online or in person. Students, faculty, and staff can access this service by clicking on the Schedule a Consultation button located under the Quick Links section of the UNF Library homepage.
Request a library instruction session with a librarian in your classroom or in the library classroom. Sessions cover a variety of research tools and strategies to support students in completing assignments. Instruction librarians will work with the professors to tailor the instruction session to class needs. Sessions range from 30 mins to 2 hours depending on class time.
