Eikon

Eikon, a Thomas Reuters product, is one of the premier business information platforms used by the business community. Eikon, as of 2016, holds 23% of the financial data market share[1].

Some key features of Eikon are:

  • Provides access to extensive business and financial information for listed companies, including:
    • Current data of exchange-traded instruments (stocks, warrants, options, futures, indexes, etc.)
    • news
    • economic data,
    • commodity data,
    • foreign exchange rates
    • interest rates 
  • Provides data visualization tools
    • charting tools
    • integration with Microsoft office
  • Provides customizable and premade workspaces to view data
    • Users will be able to save and export views if they wish for later use.

How to access

Due to licensing restrictions, Eikon is available on a PC located next to the Research Help Desk on the first floor of the library. Library staff can provide faculty, students and staff with the username and password.

​S&P Capital IQ is the research division of Standard and Poor’s. It provides detailed research and analysis of the stock market to a variety of investing stakeholders.

Capital IQ’s web portal offers various software and data feeds to advisory firms, banks, corporations, investment managers, private equity funds, universities and more, providing overall market awareness and investment analysis.
