The late Dr. John Raymond Ibach, Jr., a noted Jacksonville FL. surgeon, was, according to his obituary, a gifted Jazz pianist and lover of Jazz music. In 2009, the Ibach family donated this initial gift of autographed portraits and artworks that really kicked off the "Art in the Library Collection" in the Library. The images on this page are selected works from the Ibach Collection located on the third floor of the Thomas G. Carpenter Library.
After scanning the QR code, you may view the images with your device and view informative videos about the artists depicted. If you are on the third floor of the Library, Bluetooth headphones (which you may connect to your device) are available for check out from the Virtual Learning Center (Room 3401), which will allow you to experience the Augmented Reality (AR) Jazz Experience display in private, with minimum disruption to this quiet floor.
