General Information and Responsibilities
The Government Documents Section houses federal, state, and local government documents as well as maps and atlases. Federal documents, published by the Government Publishing Office (GPO) are distributed through the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP). As a selective depository for federal publications we receive the items that best support the University's needs. Federal documents are arranged using the Superintendent of Documents call number system and Florida and Jacksonville documents are arranged using a similar, agency-based system.
Government Documents are accessible to all university constituents, members of the Northeast Florida community, and any person interested. The Library provides a general-purpose library username and password that can be used on any of the over 350 public computers in the Library to access Federal and State documents. For additional information about accessing government documents, please contact us.
