UX Redesign Project for Library Guides and Digital Commons

Overview

The UNF Library is enhancing the functionality, accessibility, and effectiveness of the library’s online presence.  We will be gathering feedback from faculty, staff, students and the community during the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters. This ties into Goal 2d. of the Library’s 2017-2024 Strategic Plan, which is to “Design and implement an intuitive, user-friendly online presence that promotes discovery and learning.”  The goals are as follows:

  • Redesign Library Guides to improve access to information, resources and services
  • Redesign Digital Commons to improve access to our institutional repository content through improved navigation and layout of the site

Implementation of both redesigned sites will occur in Summer 2020.

Library User Experience Focus Groups

The library will be conducting focus groups during the month of February to gather additional UNF community feedback about Library Guides and Digital Commons.
