Library Building Open with Modifications

In coordination with the University's response to protect the UNF community from the spread of COVID-19, the UNF Library building is open with the following modifications:

  • Open only to current UNF students, faculty and staff 
  • Valid Osprey 1Card required for entry 
  • Masks required at all times 
  • Social distance – keep 6 feet apart

Due Dates

  • All non-equipment returns need to be to put in the library dropbox inside or outside the library. Library staff will not take items directly from patrons.
  • Laptops, chargers, books, media (DVDs and CDs), and calculators that were checked out between November 30, 2020, and March 14, 2021 are due April 16, 2021. Log into your Library account or fill out the Renewal Form to renew your items. Please note that the Renewal Form will need to be filled out for any library equipment.
  • Beginning March 15, 2021: laptops and chargers that are checked out on or after March 15 will be due August 6, 2021 for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Beginning March 15, 2021: books, media (DVDs and CDs), and calculators that are checked out on or after March 15 will be due August 6, 2021 for students and October 1, 2021 for faculty and staff.

Returning Materials

  • Books and media can be dropped off at any time in the library drop box located by the entrance of the library. Library staff will not take items directly from patrons.
  • Laptops and equipment should be returned to the Library Information Desk.
  • All returns will be quarantined for a minimum of 4 days before being removed from patron accounts.
  • Due dates are subject to further extension as determined by the Library.
