Electronic Book Collections

The library has several collections of electronic books. Some are large, multidisciplinary collections, like EBSCO eBook Collection and ProQuest Ebook Central. Others are special, targeted collections, like psychology books from Cambridge University Press, health and medicine titles from Ovid, and the SpringerLink hard sciences.

E-book access is still evolving and each of our sets is a little different.  We'll tell you all about them in this guide.

Copyright and eBook Usage

Some vendors only allow partial downloads of their eBooks because they are protected by copyright law, similar to printed publications. Each individual publisher will determine how much of any particular eBook can be printed, copied, or downloaded. As a result there are some vendors that will only allow you to view, print, or download one chapter at a time while others may only allow individual pages to be accessed.

Due to copyright restrictions, the number of chapters or pages you will be able to print or copy may be limited by the publisher. It is possible that once these limits are reached the publisher may not allow you to print or copy any further text.

To learn more about copyright restrictions please visit the UNF Library Copyright page.
