Course Reserves

Supplemental materials for courses may be placed on Course Reserve for the semester the course is offered.  Materials placed on reserve in the library may include books, audio-visual materials, and physical objects and may be items from the Library's collections or personal copies belonging to the instructor. Any item placed on reserve must comply with CONTU Guidelines and Fair Use provisions of Copyright Law.

Course Reserves Information

To ensure swift turnaround, requests for placing materials on reserve should be initiated well in advance of a new semester for use by a specific class. Copyright issues may delay processing of materials.  All orders are processed on a first-come first-served basis.

  • Library Materials
  • Personal Copies
    • Course Reserve Request forms for personal copies are available from the Access Services Department.  Copyright compliance requires these forms be signed by the requesting faculty member and electronic forms are not available for this service.
    • The UNF Library is not financially responsible for theft/damage to personal books or papers placed on Reserve.  Personal copies submitted for Reserves processing must be marked, barcoded, taped, and/or otherwise physically altered to circulate as part of the Reserves Collection.

All items are automatically removed at the end of each term. The request process must be repeated for each term of intended use.
