The image above shows the new Osprey Cafe which opened on August 13, 2012. The former building (see below) was razed on June 3, 2011, to make room for the construction of the new multilevel eating facility on the same site. The Osprey Cafe, constructed in 1981 as part of an innovative Activities Complex on Candy Cane Lake, was the first major food service facility on campus with "indoor and alfresco dining for 278 people and a refreshing view of nature while dining." It served as a prime location for major receptions, dinners, conferences and other events. The Andrew Robinson Theater will remain at the opposite end of the complex.
We have hundreds of unidentified and undated images of UNF-affiliated people (we think!) at various events. Any help you can give us in identifying the people and the occasion of the photo would be very helpful. From time to time, we will feature in this box a new image. If you have any leads, please contact (904) 620-1533 or e-mail: email@example.com
Digital Commons is the Library's institutional repository that contains a digital collection of master's theses and doctoral dissertations by UNF students and alumni. If you produced a master's thesis or doctoral dissertation as part of your UNF degree and would like to have it included in this project, please contact Courtenay McLeland at firstname.lastname@example.org or (904) 620-5550. See the sites below to view the current collection, and policies and procedures.
We encourage alumni to become active in collecting UNF archival materials and to serve as our "eyes and ears" for potential donations of other items such as personal and family papers. Donations of UNF memorabilia, particularly photographs, may significantly enhance our collection. We will be happy to assess your materials; contact (904) 620-1533 or e-mail: email@example.com
